Welcome to Notes to Self Music, where two passionate and experienced musicians come together to share their love for music education.

Nolan and Chloe have combined their extensive knowledge and years of experience to create a thriving music lessons business. Both hold degrees in music, with Nolan earning his Bachelor of Arts in Music with an Emphasis in Trumpet from Young Harris College and a Master’s Degree in Trumpet Performance from the University of Louisville. Chloe holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music with an Emphasis in Oboe from Young Harris College. With a shared dedication to music education, they both have over a decade of teaching experience.

 

Nolan has been playing trumpet for 18 years and has taught lessons for 10 years. He is the current trumpet professor at Young Harris College, where he also teaches aspiring musicians. Nolan has performed in multiple professional and semi-professional groups, enriching his lessons with practical performance experience. He loves inspiring his students, sharing his passion for trumpet, and helping them achieve their musical goals.

 

Chloe brings 18 years of oboe experience, along with 16 years of playing both the saxophone and piano. With a background as a church minister of music and choir director, Chloe’s teaching spans across various musical styles and age groups. She has performed with numerous semi-professional and professional ensembles, and has taught at multiple band camps and choral programs. Her diverse musical expertise and commitment to fostering students’ creativity make her an exceptional instructor.
